Meet the Owner

Kaila Clemons is the licensed esthetician and face behind Homebody Sugaring. Her journey into esthetics began at the Aveda Arts & Sciences Institute in 2020, where she received her education and hands-on training. Funny enough, the original plan was lash extensions, sugaring wasn't even on her radar. That changed after taking a chance on a sugaring job and unexpectedly falling in love with the craft. After nearly two years of perfecting her technique (and realizing she might actually be onto something), Kaila decided it was time to do things her own way. 

In 2024, Homebody Sugaring was born. Since then, she's been recognized by Sweet and True as Top 10 Sugarist of the Year finalist nationwide, a pretty sweet reminder that doing what you love (and being a little obsessive about the details) pays off. 

Outside of work, Kaila is exactly what the name suggests, a homebody at heart, with an adventurous side that makes an appearance every now and then. She loves getting lost in a good book, cozy gaming nights, and getting outside for a hike when nature is calling. Whether she's curled up at home or somewhere on a trail, she's happiest taking life at her own pace.
